This day was a day trip by
coach to see and go up Mount Fuji to the 5th level
station. We realised when we set off for the day that we were
the youngest people on the tour! It was a great sunny day and
the journey took a few hours to get there, and when we arrived
it was lovely crisp mountain air, but the mountain still had
some snow on the top.
The lunch
stop which was at a mad theme park at the foot of the mountain
had some great views of the mountain. After lunch we got taken
to Hakone for a temple stop which had some beautiful gardens and
then onto Lake Ashi for boat trip to a cable car. The lake was
huge! The cable car took us up Mt Komagatake in the clouds, so
we didn’t see too much, but on a clear day you can see Mt Fuji.
After coming back down we got on the coach back to
Tokyo.
