Brazil Thoughts:
I liked it here, even if we did
have to have a go at another language. This time Portuguese!
The place had lots of energy with caution thrown in. Even if a
tough place to live, all the classes mixed better here than
Argentina, in a way they all needed each other and just got on
with it. Even though it was their winter, the sun still got hot
but not humid and no mosie’s. So it was a great start to some
tanning on some great beaches before the cold of Chile next…

After
initial reservations about Rio when we arrived, I really did
warm to the place. The beaches are amazing and the views from
Sugar Loaf and the Christ Statue are just stunning. When the
sun’s out and the sea’s sparkling it’s difficult not to like it
here! Fears about safety soon went and it helped that we went
out with the locals so they looked after us and were such
hospitable people. Definitely on the ‘visit again’ list, next
time during Carnival season… Rachel |
